  • A bipartisan coalition of 52 AGs filed an amicus briefin Yoon v. Collins, a case before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, in support of two veterans and their families who challenged the denial of G.I. Bill education benefits by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
  • In their brief, the amici argue that the denial of benefits conflicts with U.S. Supreme Court precedent, and that the VA’s justification for its denial—that the veterans have only one period of service rather than separate and distinct periods of service—is unsupported.
  • The AGs urge the Court to grant petitioners’ requested education benefits.
