I often receive the question, “Can INTERPOL make arrests in the United States?”
The answer is, “NO.” INTERPOL doesn’t make arrests anywhere. INTERPOL doesn’t have its own officers who operate like police officers in the U.S. or any other country. If a person is arrested in relation to a Red Notice in the U.S., the arresting officers work for either the federal or the state government in the United States, and that’s true in every country.
