CFPB signals five future publications in OMB filings

On June 4, the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs received five pending publications from the CFPB. The five rulemakings under consideration included: (i) Loan Originator Compensation Requirements Under the Truth in Lending Act (Regulation Z), Rescission; (ii) Discretionary Servicing Rules under the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (Regulation X); (iii) Discretionary Mortgage Servicing Rules Under the Truth in Lending Act (Regulation Z); (iv) Defining Larger Participants of the Consumer Debt Collection Market; and (v) Defining Larger Participants of the Consumer Reporting Market 2025. These rulemakings are currently pending review in the “Prerule” stage.
