On February 28, the CFPB filed a joint stipulation of voluntary dismissal, with prejudice, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, ending an enforcement action originally brought in 2021 against a mortgage lender and four executives of the company (covered by InfoBytes here). The case alleged violations of TILA, the FCRA, and the ECOA relating to certain mortgage lending practices, among other things. Under the stipulation, each party would bear its own costs, expenses and attorney fees.
