On February 13, 2025, the Department of Labor announced the opening of the HIRE Vets Medallion Award cycle. This award is the only federal award recognizing employers for investing in recruiting, employing and retaining veterans and highlights and encourages employer support for veterans.
Criteria for the HIRE Vets Medallion includes veteran hiring, retention, resources, leadership programs, HR dedication, and compensation assistance. Requirements differ based on employer size.
Applications are open through April 30, 2025. Employers interested in applying for this award can learn more at HIREVets.gov.
