Having survived Hurricane Sandy with 5 feet of water downstairs, I’ve had my fill of natural disas- ters. Whether it’s climate change or not, the weather is more unstable than ever be- fore. Whether it’s 70 degrees by me in No- vember or dastardly heavy storms, I know weather has become extreme, and natural disasters are becoming more frequent, es- pecially flooding. Deal- ing with where you live, like right by a fault line, natural disasters may be unavoidable. As a 401(k) plan sponsor, you can avoid your plan becom- ing a natural disaster by taking care of a few things around your plan.
