Executive Order Amended to Temporarily Restore de Minimis Entry Eligibility for Products of China

The President has amended the Executive Order imposing an additional 10% duty on products of China to temporarily allow de minimis entry for products of China until the Secretary of Commerce notifies the President that “adequate systems are in place to fully and expediently process and collect tariff revenue” that otherwise became applicable on February 4. The amendment gives no indication how long this temporary pause on the de minimis ban for Chinese products could last.
