On January 31, the FDIC released list of 18 administrative enforcement actions taken against banks and individuals in December 2024. The public orders comprised 14 stipulated orders and written agreements (and one termination of action); four of which assessed civil money penalties, seven were removal and prohibition orders, and two were cease and desist orders. Included was an order for a bank in Texas to pay a $47,500 civil money penalty for allegedly failing to report accurate data on its HMDA-applicable denied, withdrawn and incomplete applications for 2021 and 2022. The bank consented to the order without admitting or denying the violations and is prohibited from seeking indemnification for the penalty.
