On Jan. 30, 2025, the Federal Election Commission (“FEC”) released increased contribution limits for the 2025-2026 election cycle. The limits are indexed for inflation in odd-numbered years and apply to contributions made by individuals and nonmulticandidate PACs to federal candidates and national party committees.

For the 2025-2026 election cycle, Individuals and nonmulticandidate PACs may contribute the following:

  • $3,500 per election to federal candidates ($7,000 total for primary and general elections), an increase of $200 per election from the previous election cycle;
  • $44,300 per calendar year to each national party committee, an increase of $3,000 from the previous election cycle;  and
  • $132,900 per year per account to special accounts established by national party committees for election recounts and legal proceedings, headquarter building expenses and presidential nominating conventions.

Contribution limits for multicandidate PACs are not indexed for inflation and remain the same.
