FTC updates fees for accessing the National Do Not Call Registry

On August 27, the FTC issued a final rule to amend the Telemarketing Sales Rule to update the fees charged to entities for accessing the National Do Not Call Registry. The annual fee for access to the Registry for each area code of data will increase from $80 to $82 per area code, and the maximum amount charged to any single entity for accessing area codes of data will increase from $22,038 to $22,626. In addition, the fee for entities to add area codes during the second six months of their annual subscription period will increase from $40 to $41. The changes will take effect October 1.
