The document is part of an effort to modernize how HHS OIG is communicating to industry and providing information about risks, how to mitigate them and best practices for compliance programs.

It shares best practices.
Notably, the guidance, complements other guidance out there, including the Department of Justice’s. And, in addition to focusing compliance efforts, it can be helpful for promoting operational efficiency.
