The National Association of Clean Water Agencies (“NACWA”) issued a July 24th news release announcing the 2025 Peak Performance Award Winners.
NACWA describes itself as representing:
…public wastewater and stormwater agencies of all sizes nationwide.
The organization states that it is the Nation’s recognized leader in legislative, regulatory, legal, and communications advocacy on the full spectrum of clean water issues, as well as a top technical resource for water management, sustainability, and ecosystem protection and interest.
The Peak Performance Awards are described as recognizing NACWA facilities for excellence in wastewater treatment as measured by compliance with their Clean Water Act National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (“NPDES”) permits, underground injection control permits, or a state control mechanisms that regulates effluent quality and reuse of reclaimed flows.
The award program is stated to offer national recognition:
…for the hard work and commitment to excellence NACWA members put forth everyday on behalf of the environment and their communities.
The NACWA members from Arkansas (and their facilities) that received one of the three levels of Peak Performance Award (Platinum, Gold, Silver) include:
- Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority
- Little Maumelle Water Reclamation Facility (Platinum)
- Adams Field Water Reclamation Facility (Platinum)
- Fourche Creek Water Reclamation Facility (Platinum)
- North Little Rock Wastewater Utility
- Five Mile Creek Treatment Plant (Platinum)
- White Oak Bayou Treatment Plant (Platinum)
- Maumelle Treatment Plant (Gold)
- Pine Bluff Wastewater Utility
- Boyd Point Treatment Facility (Platinum)
