  • The Anti-Robocall Multistate Litigation Task Force, a bipartisan coalition of 51 AGs, has launched “Operation Robocall Roundup,” a multistate effort to crack down on robocalls across the country.
  • As part of the operation, the Task Force sent notice letters to 37 voice service providers for allegedly failing to comply with FCC robocall mitigation requirements and not adequately responding to government traceback requests. Copies of the letters were also sent to 99 downstream providers that accept call traffic from those companies to alert them to the Task Force’s concerns.
  • The Task Force requested that the companies receiving the notice letters respond within 21 days outlining their plans to address the identified concerns. The Task Force also informed the FCC’s Enforcement Bureau of its actions.
  • We have reported on the Task Force’s prior efforts, in 2023 and 2025, to hold Voice over Internet Protocol providers accountable for facilitating illegal robocalls.
