PA and TX AGs Appoint Senior Staff; Former State Legislators Join CO and OH AG Races

  • Pennsylvania AG Dave Sunday announced the appointment of Ron Eisenberg as Executive Deputy Attorney General and Chief of the Civil Division, and Ben Wren as Deputy Chief of Staff.
  • Texas AG Ken Paxton appointed Austin Kinghorn as Deputy Attorney General for Civil Litigation, Ryan Walters as Deputy Attorney General for Legal Strategy, and Billy Cole as Principal Deputy Solicitor General.
  • Elliot Forhan, a former Democratic state lawmaker in Ohio, announced he is running for AG in 2026.  We recently covered announcements by Ohio AG Dave Yost, who is term-limited, that he intends to enter the governor’s race in 2026, and by Republican Auditor Keith Faber that he is running for AG.
  • Former Democratic Colorado House Speaker Crisanta Duran joined the race for AG in 2026.  She joins Boulder District Attorney Michael Dougherty, also a Democrat, who recently announced he is running for AG.  Term-limited Colorado AG Phil Weiser is running for governor in 2026.
