Somos Inc. hosts bi-annual conferences that unite legislators, labor leaders, educators, and business executives to address the needs of the Hispanic population in New York State. Established in 1987 by the NYS Assembly Puerto Rican/Hispanic Task Force, funds raised by Somos support youth empowerment. With each year Somos has grown into a who’s who in government and politics from New York City and New York State and was attended by many members from the city council, state legislature, the mayor’s, the governor’s office, and others.
