  • Texas AG Ken Paxton issued CIDs to Colgate-Palmolive Company and Proctor & Gamble Manufacturing Co., which advertise and sell Crest branded toothpaste, over allegations that the companies deceptively marketed fluoride toothpaste in violation of state consumer protection laws.
  • According to the AG’s office, the companies allegedly encouraged children to ingest their flavored fluoride toothpaste and misled parents to use more than safe and recommended amounts of toothpaste.
  • We recently covered a similar Texas investigation into Kellogg’s marketing of cereals containing artificial dyes.
