So we had an incredible R.E.A.C.H. member call on Friday.
We covered a ton of critical topics– FTC actions, new SMS rulings, FCC and legislative developments and advocacy work, big TCPA developments, etc.
If you’re not a member you are REALLY missing out, especially as networking opportunities grow with membership spiking.
Additionally, the incredible John Barbret gave us an update on all those insane quiet hours cases Hindi’s office has been filing.
For those not in the know, there was a massive surge in quiet hours SMS cases filed by Jibreal Hindi’s office. The cases are bunk and are mostly settled off quickly. Here’s a webinar breaking it all down:
See video here.
While the cases are starting to slow down, one particular plaintiff– Jan Carlos Pimentel–has filed 19 SMS quiet hours cases in just the last few months.
Looks like Pimentel is mostly focused on insurance and finance companies.
Be cautious about calling this character folks.
Info on the suits below for the curious!
Big thank you to JB for putting this together for us.
Be sure to join R.E.A.C.H. today so you don’t miss out on the incredible opportunities and information open only to members.
