The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit has VACATED its recent stay of the nationwide preliminary injunction against the enforcement of the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA). The court vacated its earlier stay "in order to preserve the constitutional status quo while the merits panel considers the parties' weighty substantive arguments…" In other words, the CTA's requirements are on hold again.

The Fifth Circuit has ordered an expedited hearing before the next available panel. As things now stand, the recently revised filing deadline of January 13, 2025, is STAYED pending the Fifth Circuit's final ruling.
