HEADLINES
- The House and Senate enter their final work period of the 118th Congress, focusing on funding the government into next year.
- President Joe Biden is on his first presidential visit to Africa.
- President-elect Donald Trump has nearly finished choosing his nominees for senior roles in his second administration.
HOUSE
- The House will be in session tomorrow through Friday, taking up legislation designed to reduce regulatory burdens on small businesses.
- The Financial Services Committee will hold a hearing Wednesday regarding innovation in financial technology.
- Thursday, the Oversight and Accountability Committee will hold an oversight hearing with the Census Bureau.

SENATE
- The Senate will be in session throughout the week, continuing votes to confirm Biden’s judicial nominees.
- The Environment and Public Works Committee will hold a hearing Thursday regarding public health impacts of PFAS.
- Also Thursday, the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee will hold an oversight hearing with the Postal Service.

WHITE HOUSE
- Biden is in Africa for his first visit as president, stopping in Cabo Verde this morning.
- The president will spend the rest of his trip in Angola, highlighting U.S. infrastructure investment in the region.
- Biden returns to the White House on Thursday.
