The political environment in D.C. is heating up, putting green banks and other renewable energy companies under increased scrutiny. Both the Trump Administration and the Congressional majority have been advocating to roll back federal spending on sustainable energy initiatives. Green banks that facilitate such grants are feeling the heat, as are manufacturers that made investment decisions based on the availability of certain tax incentives. Congress has already launched investigations into many of these organizations and is simultaneously poised to pass a Budget Reconciliation package that could dramatically reshape the investment environment.
Join Womble Bond Dickinson attorneys Kristina Moore and Veronica Renzi for an update on current and potential future Congressional actions impacting the renewable energy sector, including green banks. Their conversation will address current and potentially future Congressional inquiries, as well as how Budget Reconciliation measures could quickly advance the current administration’s policy agenda, as soon as Memorial Day.
