On June 6, Judge Claudia Wilken of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California approved a settlement agreement between the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), power conferences, and current and former Division I athletes represented in the House, Carter, and Hubbard antitrust suits.

The landmark settlement represents the most significant transformation in college athletics history. With the court approval of the $2.8 billion settlement, universities can now directly compensate student-athletes through revenue sharing for the first time ever. This seismic shift affects every stakeholder in collegiate sports.

Join moderator Christopher McLean and presenters Grayson Owens and Will Palmer, members of K&C’s Sports & Entertainment Team, as they explain the details of the House decision and what it means for schools and conferences, as well as former and current athletes. Topics covered will include:

  • Understanding the $2.8 billion structure and timeline
  • How the 75% football, 15% men’s basketball allocation works
  • New obligations for universities and conferences
  • Gender equity considerations in the new landscape
  • Identifying and mitigating legal exposures
  • Preparing your institution for implementation
  • What additional challenges may emerge

This complimentary webinar will be held on Wednesday, July 16, from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM EST. We look forward to seeing you there!
