Practice/Organization Description
Compliance and Ethics: Ideas & Answers started out as an idea by an award-winning and early practitioner in the field of compliance and ethics, Joe Murphy, CCEP.
Joe is an author, speaker, retired lawyer, and long-time contributor to the field, with experience in a broad range of compliance risk areas and compliance techniques, along with an endless curiosity about the field.
The concept of Ideas & Answers came about because Joe wanted to champion and promote the role of compliance and ethics professionals and help them in their important mission. Joe and his colleagues decided to produce a practical, weekly source of new ideas and useful answers for practitioners. They also reach out to experts from around the compliance & ethics world to offer the best ideas and insights.
The editors include Joe, the highly experienced compliance experts Rebecca Walker and Jeffrey Kaplan of Kaplan & Walker, and the author, inhouse counsel, and compliance guru Adam Balfour. Alongside this core team guest contributors feature regularly providing perspectives from the USA to India, and from Kazakhstan to New Zealand. You can find out more about our team here.
We publish weekly for free, which allows us to provide a regular stream of brief, practical pieces for practitioners. We began on Linkedin and quickly grew to thousands of subscribers. We now have a website rich with valuable materials for practitioners. Our newsletter is also conveniently available via email. You can easily sign up for the email version of the compliance and ethics newsletter or on LinkedIn.
Our practical topics include training, risk assessment, mystery shopping for retail compliance, conflicts of interest and a broad range of risk areas. We also provide useful nuggets from compliance conferences and review books in this area for helpful takeaways.
Alongside these insights, Compliance and Ethics: Ideas & Answers also adds a touch of humor and human insights about this profession. Each week we include something to explore what it is really like living in this profession, and sometimes stories to lighten the mood.
You can join our growing community of those with an interest in compliance and ethics, by simply signing up for the newsletter now, for free. We also look forward to your comments, questions and suggestions.
